I know its been ages but we've been working on a big project, creating a website.
We've been learning HTML code for the last few weeks and then put it into practice by building a website. I also used some CSS to change the style of the site.

Its been a while
Morning all,
Well we just had the 2 week Easter break which means no college so that's why there's been no blog post :(
The week before and the week after this period we have been constructing a flow chart all about dismissal and appealing for unfair dismissal.
There wasn't much more to say about this so I wont keep you any longer :)

Writing E-mails
I'm back again with the latest installment to my college journey :)
Last week we were given the task of writing a set of guidelines on how to write e-mails properly. So we had to put in the basic things like using correct grammar and structure but also show how certain styles of writing can present different meanings.
For example, if i write in this colour it conveys anger. OR IF I WRITE LIKE THIS it conveys shouting.
After that we put our folders into some sort of an order and printed any outstanding work.

Last Week.....
Hello!
It's me again, just posting up the details of last weeks college visit.
We had to set up a network between four computers (like we did a couple of weeks ago) but this time it was a Wireless Network. So each computer got a wireless dongle and then they were all connected to a router which allowed them to all talk to eachother without wires. We gave them an Addressing Scheme again (DHCP) and then put some security on the wireless network to keep out any unwanted visitors.
Time to find out what's in store for this week :)

Its been another manic week but i've finally got time to post another update to the blog.
Last week we wrote a document on the life of a packet (of data that is :P). Unfortunately it wasn't as easy as it would first sound. Anyway after a bit of research I managed to found out in enough detail what happens to one of these little things as it travels between two computers and then wrote the whole tale up.

Sorry about the delay in posting, things have been busy!!! :(
Presentation went quite well and now we've moved on to networking, last week we did a practical which involved setting up a network with four computers on it. We connected the four computers to a switch and then set up the Addressing Scheme for them and tested the connection using ping and sharing various files between the computers.

Hi, Craig here. This is my first post on my blog taking you through my life as an apprentice ICT Technician. I'm studying at Loughboough College and working at Djanogly City Academy Nottingham, learning all the tricks of the trade from my fellow technicians at work.
Today is College day and my lecturer thought it would be a good idea to set this up so you can all follow my progress :-)
